The “Congregate & Celebrate” Phase of the Congregate for Something Great Campaign is in full swing. The Parish House was demolished, and the area in front of the Parish Center was cleared to start prepping the land for the new school’s playground. Part of the land preparation included the removal of the large tree that was in front of the Parish Center. Both the Parish House and the tree in front of the Parish Center were special parts of our campus. Fortunately, the bricks from the Parish House and wood from the tree will be repurposed, so that they can remain a part of Saint Agnes’s future. Additionally, the Parish will be planting at least 30 new trees to grow our tree canopy. We are blessed to have a Green Ribbon School! Know that we are working to reduce our carbon footprint, as well as enhance our campus’s green space and natural beauty. The Congregate and Implementation Teams would like to give a special thanks to Josh Taylor of Taylor Landscaping, who is helping with the land preparation. We are blessed to have so many parishioners lending their time, treasure, and talent to positioning Saint Agnes for its future.
We are also happy to report that the Congregate & Celebrate Plans, which were approved by the Parish Committees, were formally approved by the Archdiocese in January. The Implementation Committee is now conducting the bid process and will be holding a pre-bid meeting on Friday, February 14th. The new playground equipment was delivered to our campus, and we are excited to move forward with effectuating the plans.
