Saint Agnes Food Pantry

Please join us the fourth Saturday of each month for our monthly Food Pantry.   The Dare To Care food truck will arrive at 9:00 a.m. and the driver will offload our food inventory with a pallet jack.   We will unwrap, arrange and set out the food items.   We’ll begin serving guests at 10:00 a.m. and the pantry will remain open until 11:30 a.m.

Simulating a grocery store experience, guests will select their food and use grocery carts to transport the selected items to their cars.  In operating the Pantry, volunteers will assemble food on the tables; collect and break down packaging materials for the recycle dumpster; welcome guests and provide assistance transporting food to their cars; retrieve grocery carts from the parking lot; assist with clean-up; and return tables and carts to their proper locations, etc.  The July food pantry served over 200 guests!

During the summer months, we will ask the parish to help with a special collection – usually items that Dare to Care does not provide.  We will designate one weekend at all masses to collect.  This month’s collection will take place the weekend of August 17th/18th.  We ask the parish to bring toothpaste and toothbrushes.  We will have collection bins in the back of church.  You can also bring your donation to the parish house any time before August 24th.

We are glad to have your support regardless of the amount of time you are able to work.   Hope to see you Saturday morning!
