Stewardship 2018-02-25T21:51:48+00:00

In his first letter to the Corinthians, St. Paul reminded the young church that as a body they were made up not of a single part, but of many.

If a foot should say, ‘Because I am not a hand I do not belong to the body,’ it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. Or if an ear should say, ‘Because I am not an eye I do not belong to the body,’ it does not for this reason belong any less to the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But as it is, God placed the parts, each one of them, in the body as he intended. If they were all one part, where would the body be? But as it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I do not need you,’ nor again the head to the feet, ‘I do not need you.’ Indeed, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are all the more necessary, and those parts of the body that we consider less honorable we surround with greater honor, and our less presentable parts are treated with greater propriety, whereas our more presentable parts do not need this. But God has so constructed the body as to give greater honor to a part that is without it, so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. If [one] part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy. Now, you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it.  I Corinthians 14:12-27

Those words hold true for us today.

At this time of stewardship renewal, please consider the needs of our Saint Agnes Community as well as how your time, talent and treasure can help meet those needs.  You are an important part of the faith community body.  Are you willing to stretch beyond what you have always done and try something new?  Will you lend an ear, hand, foot, heart?

February 18-19, 2017, is our parish’s Stewardship Commitment Weekend. It is our opportunity to once again say “thank you” to God by committing to share a just and fair portion of our time, talents, and financial blessings to continue to do His work.  By completing, returning, and then fulfilling your stewardship intention form, you are demonstrating your desire to continue as a vital part of the body of believers who gather as Saint Agnes Catholic Community.

I filled out a Time and Talent form last year. Do I need to do it again this year? Yes! Each year St. Agnes parishioners are asked to update this form. Our gifts may change and God may call us to use our time and talents to serve in a different way. This is an opportunity for all members of your family to become actively involved in the life of your parish.

NOTE:  As we rotate ministries, we begin afresh each year.  If you want to “continue” serving in a ministry – it is important to indicate your interest on this form.  You will not automatically be renewed in a ministry.
