“So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
This liturgical year on the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time, we heard the classic scripture seen above. It is fitting for the month of February, often seen as the month of love. At Saint Agnes, February is usually the time when we come together as a community to recommit ourselves to our friends, families, and fellow parishioners through our stewardship renewal. However, this year, things are going to look a little different.
The parish is currently evaluating and discussing ways to enhance our engagement with the broader community and how we can better connect with families after the difficulties of the pandemic. We are reflecting on all aspects of parish life with the intention to complete the review by this late summer.
Because of this, we are delaying the official stewardship renewal campaign until later this year to best incorporate the results of this review into the renewal campaign. This will allow us to also join in the spirit of joy as families return to school for a new year of learning. Timing the campaign in the fall will also allow us to have the stewardship fair and our flagship event, the Chili Dinner and Pink/Gray game, a part of the stewardship process. We believe the thank you is just as important as the ask, making this month-long focus on stewardship a complete experience.
Until then, your continued support through time, talent, and treasure are still needed. Your involvement in new ministries is always welcome. Here on this page, you can refresh yourself on parish ministries and offerings and access the stewardship form if you need to update your information. A paper copy of these items can be provided to you if you call the parish office. There are so many ways for you to bring your love to this wonderful community we share.
On behalf of the Stewardship Committee, we thank you for your time and look forward to our full campaign this fall.
God bless you and your families, and let’s continue sharing our FAITH, with HOPE for the future, and LOVE for each other.
